Jay-z Is Sued For Putting Roc Nation Logo on MLB Hats

A lawsuit has been filed by Iconix Brand Group against JAY Z and Roc Nation for the use of the Roc Nation logo on Major League Baseball apparel. TMZ reports that Iconix says it paid $204 million USD for the logo, and has control of when it can be placed on merchandise. According to TMZ, Iconix will sue all of those parties for a minimum of $10 million for “damages.” Iconix also owns Rocawear, a clothing brand that was founded by JAY and former business partner Damon Dash. Last year, JAY and Damon won a lawsuit filed by clothing designer Dwayne Walker for $7 million USD over breach of contract and copyright infringement regarding the Roc-a-Fella logo.
